3 Bedroom House in Buchanan Dam

Located on a protected cove, this is a great spot to enjoy fishing, swimming and boating. The rental includes a boat dock with lift. The upstairs deck provides great views of Lake Buchanan and the lights on Buchanan Dam at night. The downstairs deck features a gas grill and offers a great place for those staying downstairs to enjoy morning coffee as the sun rises over the lake. Beautiful oak trees, a pecan and peach tree, provide plenty of shade. The larger bedroom upstairs features a king size bed while the slightly smaller guest bedroom has two twin beds. Downstairs is a separate bedroom and bath with its own air conditioning system. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and a set of twin bunk beds. Damage deposit collected at booking; Sorry - NO PETS ALLOWED & NO SMOKING ALLOWED. Some of you may be wondering…why aren’t there any recent reviews? Why is the most recent review from Year 2022? Here is why. We pulled the property off of the nightly rental market when a severe drought dramatically affected our beautiful lake. The drop in the water level was so severe that there was no water under our boat dock. We felt that it was better to take it off the market than risk disappointing our guests. This is a “lake house” first and foremost, and when the lake is no longer out the back door, we knew it was time to lock it up until the drought was over. The heavy rains in central Texas in early July have filled up both Lake Buchanan and Lake Travis. Not only is there more water in the lake, the lake is completely full. So, we have re-activated our lake house and are once again accepting nightly rentals exclusively on the VRBO platform. We want to commend VRBO for supporting us in this decision and for understanding why we locked the house up for the past 3 years. It was right thing to do, and we are ready once again to accept guests. We look forward to seeing you at the lake.

Summary: This property was amazing and we will be looking into renting again. The boys loved the game room and having access to the dock so they could fish and swim. The house was spacious and beautiful. It had a real home feel to it. The trees and grass are beautiful. Mark and Joan are great host they have everything you need and ready for use. They always updated us with info. Mark is a sweet guy we definitely enjoyed our stay here. The dock and private boat ramp was a plus for us. Thank you for allowing us to be a guest here.

Summary: Wow! The location was perfect to meet up with our family camping at RV park. House was fully equipped with anything and everything you could possibly imagine. Wish we had more time to use some of the so many amenities and toys this home offered. Well worth every penny! Thank you so much for hosting us. We'd love to come back sometime! 5 ***** all the way!

Summary: My husband and a few of his lifelong friends enjoyed their extended weekend getaway so much we are already planning a time we can go back as a family. Location on the lake was prime for fishing and boating and so nice not having to launch and load every time him and his friends wanted to get out on the water. Hosts were awesome with their recommendations on places to check out in the area and were super responsive to questions. All around great experience and highly recommend!

Summary: We enjoyed a spring break visit. The house was very clean and had the all amenities you could need or want including a gas grill, fire pit, and ping pong table. Gorgeous view.

Summary: For my birthday I decided to take my family away from the Houston city life and escape to nature. This lake house was perfect for this! It has a lovely view of the lake, a large backyard with a fire pit and a boat dock. We went in the cold winter and I would 100% stay at this house again in the summer. They provide all the goodies - tubes, water skis, life vests, super soakers! The home had everything we needed - logs and fire starters for the bond fire, coffee pods, a bottle of filtered water for the coffee. Thanks for a great getaway with the family!!

Summary: This house was a great location for some Family Time! The lake was beautiful, great cove for fishing, close to Caves and Hiking ! There are games, books, ping pong, corn hole… and much more. Kids would love it! The place is so we’ll taken care of. Owner lives next door and is very responsive if you need anything! The lake view is so wonderful! There is a nice fire pit area to overlook the lake. We really enjoyed our time here!
